SleeperHero

it's time to get some sleep

Night after night, you're tired of seeing your sleepy child's silhouette at your bedroom door. The tug on your comforter in the middle of the night, whining that they can't sleep that they're scared. Well, you are scared, too. Scared that there is nothing you can do to help them figure this issue out on their own.

After rubbing our own eyes filled with that same frustration, we decided we needed to do something about it. So we developed a tool that will help us all both parents and kids.

It starts with a storybook. A story about a boy, named Luke, that struggles with staying in his bed at night. That is until he is introduced to a doll. Not any doll, though. A super special doll a SleeperHero. SleeperHero is a buddy that is there for him at night when he gets scared. Better yet, this doll has a special light on its chest that shines bright in the dark, wards off his imaginary bad guys AND teaches him when it is an okay time to get out of bed in the morning. The light changes from RED to GREEN. RED means "stay in bed". GREEN means "rise and shine". With the help of his SleeperHero, Luke is able to stay in bed at night. And when he learns to sleep better, everyone in the house sleeps better.

Packaged with the storybook, you will also receive your very own SleeperHero doll to name and start conquering your family's bedtime fears together.

Testing 1, 2, 3 (year-old)...

We are excited to report that we've approved the final prototypes and the final dolls are currently in production! In the meantime, we've been busy taking the approved samples around town to different retail locations, identifying some great partners eager to stock their shelves with our dolls and books. We'll keep you posted on that here soon!

We also wanted to take the opportunity to put our dolls through some further testing with the toughest little critters...ahem...critics we know. It just so happened, little Alex (Anna's 3-year-old) transitioned to her big girl bed on her third birthday this month. That meant she got to move out of her crib and into the bottom bunk of her sister Charlie's big kid bunk bed. That also meant she was seemingly free to get out of bed whenever she pleased. The timing could not have been more perfect for her to meet her very own SleeperHero. It has been so incredibly special to see her use it and to see it work for her. She stayed up late that first night pressing his button...and each time you'd hear her frustrated loud whispers "When's he gonna be green?!" And sure enough, come morning time, she was ecstatic to show Mom and Dad his green light and was so proud she had slept through the night! She's been filling in her stickers on her chart ever since.

Here's a picture of Alex and her SleeperHero on her first night in her big kid bed, holding her chart ready to go.
